Crackmate is a JEE preparation platform for Class 11, Class 12 and repeat-year students in India. Instead of only marking an answer right or wrong, it works out why a question was missed — a concept you do not actually hold, the wrong approach, a calculation slip, or a careless miss on a question you knew — and rebuilds the next day's practice around what it finds.
It does this from three signals it records on every attempt: which option you chose, how long you took, and what everyone else did on that same question. Right-or-wrong alone cannot separate "did not know it" from "rushed it", and those two need completely different fixes.

No. Crackmate is built only for JEE Main and JEE Advanced, and that focus is deliberate. The diagnosis leans on exam-specific chapter weights, difficulty bands and marking schemes; stretching the same engine across unrelated exams would make it worse at all of them.
A substantial part of it is free — practice, custom mock tests, the readiness map, and the learning content. Some of the deeper diagnostic features require a paid subscription. You do not have to pay to find out whether it is useful to you, and we would rather you used the free tier for a week and decided honestly. Subscriptions do not auto-renew silently, and refunds are covered by the Refund and Cancellation Policy.
No, and it deliberately does not try.
What it does show is your percentile within the Crackmate cohort, labelled with how much evidence sits behind it, and a readiness level tied to the difficulty band you have actually demonstrated — not to easier questions you happened to farm. A national All India Rank prediction would need calibration against real JEE score-to-rank data. We do not have that, so rather than draw a confident-looking curve, the product says so.
The same principle runs through the rest of it: a lucky eight-out-of-eight streak earns a confidence interval rather than a "mastered" badge, cohort statistics stay hidden until enough students have attempted a question for the number to mean anything, and a chapter we do not have good coverage on is labelled as such instead of being scored against you.

Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) is a three-hour computer-based test for 300 marks, conducted in multiple shifts and in several languages.

That makes 75 questions in total across Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
The change most students miss. Section B used to carry no penalty, so the habit was to attempt every numerical question regardless. From 2025 all five are compulsory and a wrong answer costs −1, exactly like an MCQ. A wild guess in Section B is now a five-mark swing against you, not a free roll.
There are separate papers for B.Arch (Paper 2A) and B.Planning (Paper 2B), which include Aptitude and, for B.Arch, a Drawing section. JEE Advanced runs two compulsory papers, and its question types and marking change from year to year by design — read that year's paper instructions carefully.
The JEE Main syllabus follows NCERT Class 11 and Class 12 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
JEE Advanced covers broadly the same ground at greater depth and with more multi-step reasoning. The syllabus is revised periodically and some topics have been removed in recent rationalisations, so check the official syllabus document for your cycle before planning around any single chapter.
Eligibility is tied to your Class 12 year rather than to a fixed attempt count. You may appear in the year you complete Class 12 and in the two years after it. Since JEE Main runs two sessions a year, that generally works out to as many as six attempts, and where you sit both sessions in a year the better result is the one that counts.
JEE Advanced is stricter: two attempts, in consecutive years, and only if you meet the Class 12 and age conditions above.

The IITs additionally operate supernumerary seats for female candidates. Certificates must be in the prescribed central format and valid for the relevant financial year — an OBC-NCL or EWS certificate from an earlier year is a common and avoidable reason for losing a claimed seat at counselling. A category claim that cannot be supported at document verification is treated as a general-category candidature.
Applications for JEE Main are made online at jeemain.nta.ac.in, separately for each session. You register, complete the form with your personal, academic and category details, choose exam cities, upload a photograph and signature to the stated specifications, and pay the fee online. A correction window normally opens for a short period after applications close, and some fields — typically contact details and identity numbers — cannot be changed at all.
